Penguim Village | Open for the 2010 season!

Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort has always welcomed children and, having this at heart, was the first resort in the Algarve, to build a specialized facility solely dedicated to children. The concept of a "children's village" came to life and  was officially named the "Penguin Village". Why the name Penguin Village? It is a given fact that penguins are animals that will care for chicks that are not their own and if chick is left alone for a short time by its parents, another adult or an older chick will keep it warm until the parents return... This is what our facility is all about! Caring for your little ones, during your absence.

Our services and products are based on children's expectations and are designed with this concept in mind right from the arrival experience, throughout their stay, up to the moment of departure.

The Penguin Village is a children's club available for infants from 6 months to children of 12 years of age, divided into a crèche (0-3 years), an age group of 3 to 5 and a third group of 6 to 12, all run by experienced supervisors. For teens up to the age of 16, our Resort offers them our Junior Academy, providing a number of group activities.

The Village is opened from Easter to the end of October, Christmas and New Year seasons, seven days a week. During the Christmas and New Year's period the  Penguin Village will be operating in L'Arlecchino.

The world of the Penguin Village, with its 3.000 square metres (3.588 square yards) of enclosed grounds, is a totally safe and fun filled area specially dedicated to our young guests. It offers them their own playing paradise, the wonders of new and educational experiences and the chance to make new friendships!

The philosophy of the Village is to recognize children of any age as important guests: with their own needs, expectations and desires.
