A Leisure Filled Resort...

The Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort is considered the ideal sporting leisure facility, offering its guests a wide selection of sporting activities. The resort offers a selection of great facilities such as an outdoor Olympic size swimming pool and a FIFA-sized football field which has been used by teams such as Chelsea from the UK and Borussia Dortmund from Germany for their winter training. The football pitch may be pre booked in advance for specific sporting events or simply used by hotel guests for a friendly game (Learn more about our Special Football Package here >). You may also find in the hotel's reception area a full sized snooker table available to guests over the age of 18 years, at an additional fee. 

TENNIS FACILITIES

The tennis facilities at the Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort feature five ATP floodlit tennis courts, hard-surface. Located within walking distance from the hotel within a natural & serene surrounding, the tennis centre is managed by our resident professionals who offer specialised tennis lessons for all level players and ages. It is highly recommended that guests reserve lessons prior to arrival. The use of the tennis facilities is subject to a fee and may be pre booked on arrival. An additional fee may apply for night play. Tennis requests and balls are also available for hire at a nominal fee.

ALVOR BEACH CONCESSIONARY

Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort offers guests the luxury of its owned section off area at the breathtaking Alvor Beach. From June to September, a complimentary shuttle bus service is provided to guests, to/from Alvor beach, located a mere 4 km for the hotel. Hotel guests benefit from complimentary use of the beach club facilities including sunbeds, shades and towels. Guests may also enjoy a selection of water sports available during the summer season, for an additional fee. Also located at Alvor Beach and sparkling with character, Dunas Beach Restaurant is the ideal place for guests to savour light snacks, mouth-watering tapas or refreshing beverage, beach side.

FITNESS AND WELLNESS

In order to present you with true relaxation moments our hotel offers a variety of wellness facilities. The Beauty Centre offers sauna, different kinds of massage, sublime beauty treatments and in house hairdresser. Fitness facilities include a fully equipped gymnasium and a three-kilometre jogging circuit with 12 exercise stations for individual and family runs that is free of charge for guests.
